Grandma (Mom) 's visit to Oakville - Sunday

We were going to go look for cherries to pick in Niagara, but it was still raining.

So we went to a few lighting stores to look for new bathroom fixtures. Found and purchased one in Home Depot.image

Most of the day was spent reading and lounging around.

And we went to "all you can eat rib night" at Montana's.

Emma had hockey in the evening. On more game per child until the end of the 3 on 3 season.

Andrew had hockey just before lunch so we attended that.

And we declared this to be "Gregory Hines Day".

He is buried in Oakville you know!!

We watched "White Nights" in the afternoon and then headed out to visit his grave. Since it was getting late and we wanted to see the Oakville Crusaders Rugby team play, we stopped at the rugby field on the way to the cemetery. That is where the rain started.

IT POURED!

So we headed off to St. Volodymyr's Ukrainian Catholic cemetery.

I'll change it to a better photo -- this was taken in a downpour.

We drove downtown Oakville and found no parking at all and thousands of people. So we drove back to the GO station, parked, and took the shuttle bus back downtown.

We stayed for a couple of hours walking around listening to the bands and when it started to look like rain again, headed back to the van and home.
